About the location

Killin

Tayview is an ideal spot for touring the central and west highlands. The bustling city of Glasgow is just over an hour away, and Edinburgh, Oban and Fort William an hour and a half, with Stirling and Perth around an hour. If you have any energy left after your day’s adventures, why not have a game of table football in the games room? This spacious house has enough room so you can curl up with a book in the living room in front of the wood burner, or watch your favourite soap in the TV room. After preparing the evening meal in the well-equipped kitchen, the whole group can discuss the next day’s activities while sitting round the dining room table. For the summer months, there is a large patio for al fresco dining or just soaking up the fabulous views of the mountains. Tayview in Killin and the Stirlingshire area is also perfect for a short break. Shop, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

“The property was an ideal size for our large family. The kitchen was well equipped and perfect for everyone to get together for meal times and games nights. The bedrooms were all a great size, very comfortable and loved the Steven Brown different prints around the house. The sitting rooms were cosy with a log burner in the front room and we had 2 TV’s so the kids were happy. We loved exploring the local area around Loch Tay and went kayaking and swimming in the loch. The owner was very nice about a breakage we unfortunately had during our visit and we would love to come back again in a couple of years when our little ones are a bit older.”

“We, a family of 11, had a great time. The house was ideal and the owner was very helpful and apologetic about a small error in preparing the bedrooms. We would like to think that one day we might return…. Would highly recommend it.”

“This is a great house for a large group. We visited with a family group of mixed ages between 2 and 65 and it suited everyone. The bedrooms are well spread out over the 3 floors and there were enough bathrooms to allocate one per family. Great facilities such as 2 fridges, large freezer, 2 dishwashers, range cooker etc. Well equipped with plates etc.”

“The location is just stunning, with Lock Tay a short walk away from the house and the stunning Falls of Dochart a similar walk away in the other direction. There are plenty of walks for all levels, from sedate and flat walks around the Loch, to more challenging hill walks.”
